~ Courtesy obit for the Joines family ~ Ada Lodemia Transeau Joines, age 87, of Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Joines was born September 10, 1933 in Wilkes County to Grover and Martha Nance Transeau. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro and attended Taylorsville Weslyn Church in Taylorsville. Ada enjoyed making fried apple pies. She made her pies for Deal Orchards and Sugar Loaf Apple House. She loved crafting, making necklaces, bracelets and flower arrangements. Her most enjoyment was her family and cooking for them. Mrs. Joines was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Paul Joines; granddaughter, Kimberly Perry; brothers, Calvin, Homer and John Transeau; sisters, Jennie Joines, Alma Benge, Eula Anderson and Della Call. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda Brown of Taylorsville; sons, James Transeau, Randy Joines and spouse Tammy all of Taylorsville, Kenneth Joines and spouse Ann of Manassas, Virginia; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Pastor Darryl Bentley and Pastor Wayne Early officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1:30 until 2:30 on Sunday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
