Anne M. Bowles

Anne M. Bowles, 102, of Taylorsville born August 31, 1917 died Thursday, March 19, 2020. The matriarch of our family and the love of our lives passed into her glorious home with the Lord. Preceded in death by parents Lon and Victoria Meadows, five brothers, and three sisters. She was married to Guy Bowles who preceded her in death, also a son Billy Bowles, and a granddaughter Tonya Jarvis.

Left to cherish her memory are son Horace Meadows (Linda) of Taylorsville; a daughter Wanda Craver (Jimmy) of Yadkinville; eight grandchildren Angela Hoover, Deborah Steele, Randall (Ginger) Meadows, Scott (Sandra) Craver, Tony (Anita) Craver, Lisa (Clifton) Kiziah, and Alan Inman; sixteen great grandchildren Olivia (Andy) Beason, Alicia Hoover, Dean Shore, Dixie (Josh) Gibson, Dillion (Nicki) Tester, Justin Meadows, Travis Riddick, Jesse Riddick, Michael (Hayley) Ayers, Jr., Dalton Craver, Brianna Craver, Benjamin Craver, Brooke Craver, Belle Craver, Calab Kiziah, and Adam Kiziah; two great-great grandchildren Kyler Shore and Atenia Shore; and expecting her 3rd Baby Ayers on her birthday August 31st; and two special nieces Donna Turner and Robin Earp.

She will always be remembered for her open door, her generous hugs, and a full meal for any and all. She listened to our troubles, shared our tribulations, gave words of wisdom and comfort from the Bible and prayed for us to know Jesus as our personal Savior. She taught us everything we needed to know except how to live without her.

Private family funeral services will be held for the life of Mrs. Bowles. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. We will have a time to share memories of mother and to praise God from whom all blessings flow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gordon Hospice House of Statesville or the charity of your choice.
