Betty Jo Anderson

Betty Jo Call Anderson, 87 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, December 20, 2021, at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born on January 9, 1934, to the late Everette and Louise Call.
Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was loved by her family very much.
Betty had been in declining health for the last few years, but never let it get her down. She had a wonderful smile every time you saw her. Betty really enjoyed spending time with her children and all the grandchildren. She loved family get togethers on birthdays and holidays.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jody Anderson and one daughter Janet Lynn Mahaffey, three brothers, Conley Call, Lawrance Call, and Clinton Call, two sisters, Florence York of North Wilkesboro, and Virginia Byrd of Elkin.
She is survived by one son, Steve Mahaffey, and wife Patty of North Wilkesboro. Survived by a daughter Sandy Mahaffey (Silas).
Three grandchildren, Jeremy Marley, and wife Scottie of Taylorsville. Julie Mahaffey and Michael Mahaffey, both of North Wilkesboro. Two great grandchildren, Cortara and Willow McCurdy, both of North Wilkesboro. Also, a large number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Angel Harrold, who was her care giver for many years.
Betty will lie in state on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with funeral to follow at 1:00 pm, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1624 Pads Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park, North Wilkesboro.
Pastor Mark Hall, Rev. Hilary Wood, and Rev. Brian Cardwell will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Steve Call, Larry Cardwell, Mitch York, Mark York, Reggie York, and Matt York.
