Charles Edward Wilson

Charles Edward Wilson age 58 of Hiddenite passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at his residence after a period of declining health. Born on Saturday, February 11, 1961 to the late Hugh and Bess Moody Wilson in Watauga County. Charles was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, enjoyed watching westerns on TV especially John Wayne movies and Bonanza and loved detailing cars. During his employment, Charles drove a truck for Barlett Milling in Statesville.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by five sisters: Mary Helen Walker, Ruby Little, Linda Warren, Karen Wilson, Darlene Wilson, a brother David “John” Wilson. one stepson Adam Deal.
Those left to cherish the memories of Charles include his wife of 21 years Vicki Wilson, two stepsons, James Edward Deal ( Heidi), Bryant Phillip Deal ( Kristin), four grandchildren: Addison, Brycen, Evie Kay, and Everly Rae Deal all of Hiddenite, one brother, Russell Wilson (Edith) of Taylorsville, three sisters: Marie Teague(Howard), Melissa Edwards, Barbara Wilson of Taylorsville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at East Taylorsville Baptist Church on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. Rev. Jamie Steele will be officiating along with Rev. Paul Allen Fox.
Pallbearers will be Brian Teague, Bobby Sharpe, Matt and Timmy Dillow, Jesse Hall and Zane Harrington. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
