Cherie Ann Parr

Cherie Ann Griner Parr, age 47, of Lincolnton passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on January 7, 1975 in Miami, FL to Susan Diane Tamburo, of Lincolnton and the late Daniel Eugene Griner. During her career, Cherie worked as a financial analysis for an accountant. To know her, was to love her. Cherie was very gentle, opening, loving, and compassionate to everyone. She never had a negative thing to say about anyone. Never complaining, even during all her diseases, treatments, and health declining. She always smiled through it all.

Along with her mother, those left to cherish Cherie's memory include her husband Michael Parr; son Austin Parr; stepdad William Gillette of Statesville; sisters Shana Ahmed of Hickory and Cynthia Bell of Catawba; grandfather Herold Archie Griner of Saluda, NC; brothers Brandon Tamburo of Denver, Michael Griner of Carolina Beach, and Daniel Griner of Saluda, NC; aunts and uncles Linda & Ed Chapman and Donna & Dale Chapman of Miami, FL; aunts Kathy of Saluda, NC and Jennifer Cripe of California; uncle Scott Gillette of California; along with many cousins in NC, Florida, and Ohio.

A memorial service to celebrate Cherie's life will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Catawba County with Preston Taylor officiating. Cherie's cremated remains will be spread at a later date.
