Crystal Denise Stafford

Crystal Denise Stafford, affectionately known as ‘Aunt Tisel’, age 37, of Charlotte, N.C. died Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
Crystal was born on August 9th, 1982 in Hickory, N.C., to Wanda Gail Herdel of Goose Creek, S.C. and Jarrett Eugene Stafford of Taylorsville, N.C. Crystal was a beautiful person whose infectious laugh filled the hearts of many with joy. She loved to talk, eat crab legs and vacation with her beloved by the ocean. Cooking was a passion of hers.
Crystal was preceded in death by her elder sister, Kyna Marie Stafford; maternal grandmother, Orene ‘Yay-Yay’ Fox; aunt Cindy Hammonds; and niece Rilan Stafford. Survivors in addition to her parents, include; her companion Steve Griffin of Charlotte N.C.; Step-Father Gail Leslie Herdel of Goose Creek, S.C.; sister Erica Dawn Stafford and her three sons Logan Western, Ethan Western and Dylan Western of Taylorsville; sister Ronda Darlene Stafford and her daughter Cora Stafford of Lenoir; Step-Brother Chuck Herdel and family of Ladson, S.C.; Step-Sister Amanda Kanai and family of Lewis Center, OH.; paternal grand-parents ‘Bud’ and Darlene Stafford of Taylorsville, as well as many cousins and other relatives.
A private service for the family will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wittenburg Elementary School, Taylorsville N.C.
