Donald Lee Brown

Donald “Duck” Lee Brown age 73 of Taylorsville passed away on Tuesday evening, August 24, 2021. Donald was born on May 7, 1948, to Clara Lee Moose Brown and the late W. Harding Brown in Alexander County.

“Duck” as he was known by friends was the owner and operator of Brown Construction in Taylorsville. Duck was a member and deacon of Three Forks Baptist Church, he enjoyed Blue Grass music, was a founding member in the Little River Ruritans, volunteer of the Ellendale Fire Department, enjoyed fishing, and was active in the Men on Mission group in his church.

In addition to his father Donald was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ivey Bingham Sipe.

Those left to cherish the memories of Duck include his wife of fifty-one years, Glenda Lee Harrington Brown, two sons, Steven Brown (Stephanie), and Chris Brown (Tracy), one brother, Levaughn Brown (Joye), three sisters, Arlene Ferguson (Tony), Delores Carrigan (Michael), and Regina Sipe. Duck also leaves behind six grandchildren, Zeb Brown, Zalee Brown, Lydia Brown, Carter Brown, Dakota Vought, and Megan Vought, one sister-in-law, Dianne Wagoner (Bronce), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation for the Brown family will be conducted at Three Forks Baptist Church on Friday evening, August 27, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at Three Forks Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Dr. Carson Moseley and Rev. Jamie Steele will officiate. Burial will follow in the Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
