Eyvonna "Gail" Tomblin

April 14, 1952 - January 16, 2022

Eyvonna “Gail” Tomblin, age 69, of Granite Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Gail was born on Monday, April 14, 1952, to the late Richard and Ruth Garrett Hensley in Chapmanville, WV. During her career, Gail worked at Wesley Hall as a furniture sewer. She enjoyed doing crafts, and fishing, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Paul Dean Tomblin, and an infant child. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death, Randy Mills, Freddy Mills, Anita Spencer, Carol Pridemore, and Kathy Butcher. Those left to cherish the memory of Gail include the father of her children, Merrill Tomblin (Betty), daughter, Misty Tomblin and boyfriend Dean, son, Michael Tomblin (Sheryl), daughter, Ruth Webb (Brent), and son, Matthew Tomblin, and girlfriend, Tonya. Grandchildren, Joshua Tomblin, Hunter Berry, Katie Emmerton, Elizabeth Tomblin, Logan Narron, Eli Tomblin, Devon Narron, Naomi Tomblin, Natalie Tomblin, Camdon Tomblin, and Alivia Tomblin, great-grandchildren, Remy Lopez, and Lyla Lopez. One sister, Janie White, and a number of nieces and nephews and special friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, 11:00 am – 12:45 pm, service will follow at 1:00 pm at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 131 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630. Pastor Jerry Stines will be officiating. Burial will follow in Taylorsville City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael, Matthew, Joshua, & Eli Tomblin, Charles Price, Hunter Berry, Brent Webb, Jonathan Deal, and Dean Heavner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation, 411 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
