Faye Poarch Warlick

June 25, 1937 — April 22, 2019

Faye Fox Poarch Warlick, age 81, of Taylorsville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. Born to the late Charlie Anderson and Margie Mandy Carrigan Fox, June 25, 1937, she was a lunch room supervisor, for the Alexander County School System for 18 years, at Wittenburg and Taylorsville Elementary School, from which she retired. Her first husband, Conrad “Larry” Poarch preceded her in death. She was also preceded by five siblings, Conrad Fox, J.D. and Arlene Bare Fox, Lois Fox Icenhour and Coie, Nancy Fox Hefner, as well as Betty Fox Hefner and Ruel.

Faye was a professional truck driver, with her husband, Larry, for fifteen years following her retirement. She loved being with her family and enjoying everything to do with food. She enjoyed sewing and especially going to the beach and Shatley Springs.

She is survived by two daughters; Pamela Poarch Moses {David} and Tina Poarch Dahlen, and a son, Larry Travis Poarch, an adopted daughter Cindy Wright Moody {Eric}, all of Taylorsville. One brother survives, Gary Anderson Fox {Diane}, of Atlanta.
Nine grandchildren fondly remember her; James Woodward, Ryan, Brandon, and Amber Poarch, Rosealinda Leyva, Liz Wright Nash, Connor and Sierra Wright and Alfred “Scooter” Leyva. There are three great grandchildren; Landon Nash, Maya and Sophia Leyva. Special nieces, Gail Bowman, Diane Carrigan Edwards, and Vilas Fox Reese, and a number of treasured nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Hwy.16 South, from 1:30-2:45 p.m., with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. Taylor Pennell, Rev. Daniel Spears, and Rev. Tom Lambert will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Fox, Michael Miller, Matthew Reese, Greg Bowman, Eugen Lowe and Alfred “Scooter” Leyva. Honorary pallbearers will be James, Tony, and Jeff Fox, with Garrett Bowman.
