Gerry “Gary” Alvin Lee, age 73 of Hiddenite, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, in Winston Salem. Gary was born on Thursday, September 30, 1948, to the late Fred Alvin Lee and Pansy L. Reese Lee, in Buncombe County. Gary was an avid basketball fan, loved music, drums, war movies, doing yard work, and was a mama’s boy. Those left to cherish the memories of Gary, include his wife of 55 years, Kathy Lindsay Lee, of the home. One son, Michael Alvin Lee, one sister, Norma Lee Lyda (Ronnie), one grandson, Dakota Alvin Lee (Tessa Charlesworth), one granddaughter, Hannah Fox Elder (Josh) and two great grandchildren on the way, Isla Corine Lee, and four great grandchildren. Nephews, TJ & Travis Smith and one niece, Nikki Smith. No funeral services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be with the family.
