Jennie Elaine Dagenhart

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, Jennie “Elaine” Dagenhart left this world and joined her Heavenly Father. Elaine was born on November 17, 1942, to the late Rayford Wike and Doris Earp Wike Jenkins in Alexander County, Elaine was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, she loved her family especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed shopping and spending time with her best friend of seventy-four years, Louise Isenhour of Richfield NC. Elaine retired from Food Lion after seventeen years, however she spent much of her life babysitting countless children from the Taylorsville Community aiding the parent through the “potty training “process and providing a “peace of mind” to their parents.
In addition to her parents Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Wike.
Those left to cherish and celebrate the memories of Elaine include her spouse of fifty-nine years, Harold E. Dagenhart, three daughters, Ambre Connolly, Allison Harmon (Tim), Adrienne Chapman (Rusty), son, Aubrey Dagenhart (Brenda), two sisters, Gaynell Harrington (Raymond), Noel Kerley (Jeff), nine grandchildren, David Connolly, Jessica Connolly, Heath Dagenhart, Hunter Dagenhart, Reagan Dagenhart, Alexa Watts, Alek Watts, Rhett Chapman, Aniston Chapman, along with a life-long friend whom she loved like a sister, Louise Isenhour.

Visitation for Elaine Dagenhart will be conducted at Salem Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 3:15 with her funeral service following at 3:30 pm. Interment will be in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
