Lena Fox Deal

Lena Pauline Fox Deal, age 93 of Taylorsville, passed away at Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn, December 21st after an extended illness.
Born February 2, 1925 in Alexander County she was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Willet Fox.
Places of employment included Irene Cotton Mill and Carolina Glove Mill.
Lena loved working in her yard, flower garden, and vegetable garden as well as feeding birds and other animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy J. Deal, Sr., step-son Roy J. Deal Jr.; five brothers B.W., Avery, Clyde, Otis, and James Fox; three sisters Vera Wike, Gladys Teague, and Lake Jenkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are step-daughter-in-law Angelene (Ann) Deal of Taylorsville; two step-granddaughters Sharon Deal of Taylorsville and Rita Deal Johnson of Graham, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends Lewis and Irene Herman of Taylorsville and Randy and Penny Milstead of Taylorsville.
Burial will be in the Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery; Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
