Max Edward Hollar

Max Edward Hollar, age 78 of Taylorsville passed away on November 12, 2019 at Carolina Caring in Newton. He was born to the late Ed and Falah Townsend Hollar of Watauga County. Max was a truck driver for forty-eight years and had driven for Cargo Transport and W & L Motor Lines prior to retirement. Max’s hobby was woodworking and was well known for his expert building of picture frames.
Those left to cherish the memory of Max include his daughter, Crystal Hollar, grandson Matt Phinney (Misty), two great-grandchildren, Mattix and Makinley Phinney all of Taylorsville, along with man’s best friend “Fluff”.
Visitation for Max will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 3:45 pm with the memorial service following at 4:00 pm. Rev. Paul Fox will be officiating.
