Penny Hunt Grout

Penny Hunt Madan Grout, age 74, of Taylorsville, passed away April 29, 2019. A 1963 graduate of Hickory High School, she was an assistant to her father, Gerard Madan, in furniture photography, for major furniture companies. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Madan, as well as her husband Richard “Dick” Grout.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia “Jinny” Chase Grout and a special friend and care giver, Charles Larry Jones Sr.
No formal services are planned and cremains will be returned to the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery in Hickory.
Alexander Funeral and Cremation in Taylorsville are entrusted with arrangements.
