Robert Charles Calendine

Robert “Bob” Charles Calendine, age 77, of Hiddenite passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Born to the late Walter Jessie and Mary Katherine Affolter Calendine in Tuscarawas County, OH. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was known to have a garden each and every year in which he donated the produce to the Hiddenite Food Pantry. Robert also liked to spend his spare time at Rocky Face Park or searching for stones that he could cut and facet.
Along with his parents Robert is preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Calendine.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister; Linda Dessecker and husband Darryl of Hiddenite, Niece; Diane Sprinkle of Hiddenite, Niece; Shelly Brown and husband Michale, and Nephew; Douglas Dessecker and wife Jennifer of Taylorsville.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
