Sadie Catherine Reese

Sadie Catherine Reese, age 90 passed away on December 23, 2019 at Trinity Village in Hickory. Born to the late Leroy and Ila Smith Jonas. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, was considered a great cook. She enjoyed sewing for her family, loved to travel especially to the mountains. Working in her flowers was one of her favorite things to do. During her working career Sadie was an Inspector in the furniture industry.
In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Swink, Ruby Hollifield, two brothers, Charlie and Dwight Jonas.
Those left to cherish the memories of Sadie include one daughter, Annette Williams (David) of Bethlehem, two granddaughters, Tamara Bryant (Steven) of Bethlehem, Cristal McKinney (Buddy) of Ellendale, one great-granddaughter, Sadie Lynn Bryant. One sister, Peggy Bumgarner of King, NC along with a number of nieces and nephews. Also remaining is a “Special “friend and neighbor, Johnson L. Ritchie of Bethlehem.
The family would like to express a special heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Trinity Village Nursing Home in Hickory
Visitation for Ms. Reese will be conducted at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will then follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jesse Lott will officiate.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
