Amie Cheyenne Bowman

July 22, 2002 — June 7, 2026

Union Grove

Amie Cheyenne Bowman, age 23, born on Monday, July 22, 2002, in Iredell County, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Though her time with us was far too brief, Amie's spirit touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Amie dedicated herself to a career of compassion and service as a case worker at the Department of Social Services in Wilkes County. Her work was a true reflection of her heart—a heart devoted to helping others and fostering hope in the lives of those she served. But beyond her professional achievements, Amie was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing the moments they spent together and weaving memories that will forever be held dear.

A cherished member of Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church in Elkin, Amie's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in participating in the choir, lending her voice in worship, and in the joyful tasks of helping with the kids’ club. Her love for scripture was evident in her habit of scripture writing and the comfort she found in reading her Bible, nourishing her soul day by day.

Amie's passions were richly varied and brought joy both to her and those around her. She delighted in crafts, the quiet pleasure of reading, and had a special fondness for Disney—a place where imagination and happiness intertwined. Her lively spirit and gentle kindness made her a beacon of light to all who crossed her path.

She is survived by those who loved her dearly: her devoted parents, Greg Lee Bowman and Melissa Campbell Laws (Holden); her sisters Bailey Pennell (Zach) and Maegan Branton (Bert); her brother Dalton Bowman; and her maternal grandparents, Joey and Pam Campbell, alongside her paternal grandfather, Gary Bowman. Among her closest companions were Sydney Caudle, her best friend and sister by heart, along with Juliet and James Patterson, her niece and nephew by heart. Amie also leaves behind a network of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.

Her memory also honors those who have gone before her—Rev. Bill and Joan Nicholson, J.W. and Eveleen Campbell, her maternal great-grandparents; Coie and Lois Icenhour, JD and Thelma Bowman, her paternal great-grandparents; Gail Bowman, her paternal grandmother; and Garrett Bowman, her uncle—whose legacies live on in the hearts of the family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church, 1522 Austin Traphill Road, Elkin, NC 28621. Amie will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Jeremy Simpson, Rev. Joey Campbell, and Rev. Randy Campbell will officiate. Dalton Bowman, Zach Pennell, Bert Branton, Travis Campbell, Chet Campbell, and Tyler Campbell will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy and Truth Ministries in Elkin, 1115 Elk Spur St, Elkin, NC 28621.

Though Amie’s journey was short, the light of her love, faith, and joy will continue to glow brightly, a comforting presence in the lives of all who knew her. In her memory, those who loved her are reminded to cherish every moment and hold fast to the strength found in family, faith, and friendship.
