Barbara Diane Little Reid

Barbara “Diane” Little Reid, born on August 5, 1949, in Catawba County, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 15, 2026, at her home in Alexander County. She was 77 years old.

Diane was known for her dedication to her work and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Over the years, she found joy and fulfillment in her career, first as a skilled sewer in the furniture industry and later as a valued waitress at Scotty's. Through her years of service and hard work, she touched the lives of many colleagues and customers, always sharing a friendly smile and a helpful word.

Deeply devoted to her family, Diane’s greatest joy came from the relationships she held most dear. She was especially close to her grandson and her great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her loving nature and unwavering support created a warm and welcoming home for her family, where laughter and love were always abundant.

Diane’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her son, Shawn Reid; her sister, Debbie Isenhour; her grandson, Matthew Reid; and her great-grandchildren, Carson Reid, Harley Reid, and Cash Reid. Also, her uncle Fred little and his children Hollie Pharr and Daniel Little. The impact she had on their lives, and the love she so generously gave, remains an enduring legacy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mack Gray Little; her mother, Peggy Jolly Little; her husband, Carroll Reid; and her son, Bradley Reid. Their memories, along with Diane’s, will continue to inspire and comfort those who remain.

A visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service located at 193 NC Hwy 16 N, Taylorsville, NC 28681, on Monday August 17, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside service be held on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church located at 2889 Old Nc 90 Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Rev. Neal Walker will officiate.

Diane will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her presence will forever be remembered with respect and love.
