Betty Marcelle Spencer Jolly

Betty M. Jolly, age 88, of The Greens at Lincolnton, Lincolnton, NC, and formerly of NC Hwy. 16 South, Taylorsville, passed away Thursday, December 14^th, 2023, at Union West Hospital in Matthews, NC.

She was born in Catawba County, August 4, 1935.  The daughter of Adam E. Spencer and Florence Jones Spencer.  worked as a sewer in the furniture industry and later worked with her husband, Fred Jolly at their store, Riverview Bait and Tackle on HWY 16 S.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Fred L. Jolly; three brothers, Adam E. Spencer, Jr., David T. Spencer, and John W. Spencer; three sisters, Bonnie Clark, Cora Lee Mace, and Nellidean Scism.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Jolly Brantley of South Daytona, FL; a son Fredrick S. Jolly and wife Debbie of Taylorsville, NC; two grandchildren, Paul Benfield and wife Erica of DeBary, FL, Melissa Hatton and husband Tim of Taylorsville, NC; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Connor, and Caleb Benfield; Isaac, Skyler, and Riley Hatton; a brother Larry C. Spencer and wife Roberta of Rapid City, SD.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
