Bobby Eugene Beasley, affectionately known as Gene, passed away peacefully at his home in Alexander County on December 28, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born on January 9, 1932, in Etowah County, Alabama. Gene's life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to both his family and his country; he proudly served in the United States Army.

After his military service, Gene became a dairy farmer and later enjoyed a successful career as a salesman for Scotty's Home Builders. He was known for his integrity and dedication in his profession, establishing lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his career, Gene cherished his family above all, often expressing how much he loved them and valuing any moment spent together. His warm-hearted nature made him a beacon of love in their lives.

Gene had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He loved playing cards, engaging in spirited games with friends and family. He also took pleasure in yardwork, finding peace and satisfaction in maintaining a beautiful outdoor space.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony E. Beasley (Donna) of Hogansville, GA, and Jeffrey N. Beasley (Karen) of Taylorsville, NC. He also leaves behind his sisters, Joyce Ditter of Brooksville, FL, Nancy Frost of Lake Placid, FL, and Faye Harries of Carrollton, GA. Gene was a proud grandfather to Christina Dalton (David) of St. Cloud, FL, Shannon Beasley of Orlando, FL, and Lauren Tollis (Jim) of Hickory, NC, and Jared Beasley of Taylorsville, NC. He also had the delight of knowing his great-grandchildren: Gavin, Trent, Mileena, Quess, Adalina, and Sarelia, as well as a great-great-granddaughter, Maeve. He is remembered fondly by his special niece, Jeannie, along with several other nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his parent, Robert E. and Leola B. Beasley, his beloved wife, Eren Lanett Beasley, and his son, Richard S. Beasley. He was also preceded by his siblings David Beasley, Gwen Clemons, S. Earline Cannon, and Kaye Stripling.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16 in Taylorsville, NC. Interment will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery. Rudy Hollingsworth will officiate.
