She devoted 33 years of her career as a dental hygienist at Bethlehem Dental Care, a role that she cherished deeply and loved, reflecting her passion for caring for others.

Cindy's interests and hobbies extended beyond her professional life. She enjoyed hiking, exploring the beach and mountains, capturing moments through photography, and sharing joyful times dancing with her sisters. These activities were not just hobbies; they were expressions of her zest for life and her appreciation for nature and family.

Cindy was known for her warm and loving spirit. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people and was regarded as a very forgiving and beautiful soul by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her heart was fullest when she spent time with her beloved family, whom she treasured above all else.

Her commitment to her community was evident through her active involvement at Crosspoint Church, where she not only attended but also taught a women’s group Bible study class. This endeavor exemplified her dedication to nurturing the spiritual growth of others.

Cindy leaves behind a loving family, including her son Calvin "Lee" Mangum (Katie) and her daughter Katelyn Law Abrams (Cohen). She is also survived by her parents, Jesse Wade Stephens, Jr. and Betty Ritch Stephens, and her brother Greg Stephens. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her sisters, Mindy Rector (Jesse) and Jessica Kunze (Joel). The legacy of love she created continues through her grandchildren: Calvin Mangum II, Burklee Abrams, Bryer Abrams, Hannah, Abree, Trenton, Tucker, and nephews, Alex Rector (Emily), Brandon Rector (Katie), Cole Rector (Maisie), Andrew Kunze (Emma), and Stephen Kunze.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jesse Wade Stephens, Sr. and Mary Beavis Stephens, maternal grandmother, Ruby Edwards, and aunt, Bert Beck.

Visitation will be held on June 28, 2025, at Crosspoint Church located at 5860 US Hwy 64 90 W, Taylorsville, North Carolina, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at the same location at 1:00 pm. Rev. Chris Meade will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.

Cindy's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reflecting the unforgettable impact of a woman who loved deeply and lived passionately.
