Crystal Jean Combs Johnson

Crystal Jean Combs Johnson, age 70, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Forsyth County. She was born to the late Fred Joe Combs and Agnes Mae Dunn Combs on Thursday, June 11, 1953, in Wilkes County. Crystal loved her family, dogs, hummingbirds, and visiting the mountains. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. Her family always came first, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Vanessa Combs; three brothers, Jerry Combs, Gary Combs, and Dean Combs.

Those left to cherish the memories of Crystal include her husband of 53 years, Gary Michael Johnson Sr.; sons, Gary “Michael” Johnson Jr. (Amber), Casey Bryan Johnson (Jessica); three grandchildren, Chasity Johnson (Raven), Cameron Lovette, Caleb Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Noah Johnson and Isabella Johnson; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 123 Antioch Church Road, Roaring River, NC 28669. Casual dress attire would be appropriate for the celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the humane society of your choice.
