Cynthia Kay Sweet Wike, age 60, a beloved member of her community and family, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Alexander County, North Carolina. Born on February 17, 1966, in Alexander County, Cynthia led a life filled with love, creativity, and dedication.

Cynthia's career as a sewer in the furniture industry showcased her talent and commitment to her craft. Beyond her professional endeavors, she was known for her kind heart and caring nature, always going the extra mile for those she loved.

Cynthia found immense joy in her family. She cherished the time spent with her husband Eddie Wike, and was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Danielle Head (Darren) and Amy Holsclaw (Matthew). Cynthia embraced her role as nana with great affection, doting on her grandchildren: Kinsley Head, Wyatt Holsclaw, and Madilyn Holsclaw. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter and warmth, as Cynthia enjoyed crafts and attending her grandchildren's sports events and watching them ride horses, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all. Cynthia is also survived by her sister, Debbie Wike (Gene); her brothers, Gary Sweet, and Keith Sweet (Jamie); her aunt, Kay Canter (Gene); her special friend, Debbie Moose; and her beloved fur babies, Peebles and Allie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Sweet and Mary Helen Smith Sweet; her grandson, Braxton Smith; and her brother, Michael Sweet.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Cynthia leaves a legacy of love and a profound impact on all whose lives she touched. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
