Danny Eric Hand, age 66, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Catawba County. He was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1959, in Alexander County.
Danny well-known for his work as a truck driver in the furniture industry, a role that showcased his strong work ethic and commitment to his job. He was highly regarded by his colleagues and took great pride in providing for his family through his hard work.
Beyond his professional life, Danny cherished his family above all else. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 25 years, Cindy Hand. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Danny took immense joy in spending time with his children—Kristen Gardner (Brad), Dustin Hand (Fay), Nick Hand, Danielle Hoyle, John Hoyle, and Adam Hoyle (Katie)—as well as his grandchildren—Tavion, Brooke, Layla, Reese, Kynadee, Rhiannon, Parker, Leland, Lawson, Owen, Savannah, Emma, and Maddox. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he always found happiness in their company. Danny is also survived by his brother, Tommy Hand, and a special niece, April, who brought him much joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mayrene Cline Hand, whose legacy he carried forward throughout his life.
Danny was known not only for his love of family but also for his interests and hobbies. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and had a passion for motorcycles. His weekends often included time spent doing yardwork, where he found peace and satisfaction in nurturing his outdoor spaces.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Rev. Doug Guess will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Danny’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be remembered for his deep love of family, unwavering dedication to his work, and zest for life.
