Dennis Masato Asato, 53, died on February 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Hidemasa and Chiyoko Asato. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and resided in Granite Falls, North Carolina. A private gathering will be held in Minnesota.
He is survived by his siblings: brother Ronald Asato; sisters Colleen Sakima (née Asato) and Nona Asato; brother-in-law Curtis Sakima; sister-in-law Sonoko Asato (née Take); his nephew Kenneth Asato, and nieces Veronica Asato and Aura Sakima.
He will also be missed by his friends: Monique "Nicky" Mitchell; her children Raylynn Mitchell, Robyn Mitchell, and Bryson Mitchell; and her grandchildren Zyron McDonald and Mayson Ragpala-Mitchell. Also his friend Crystal Botelho, and her child Kelsea Botelho.
There are no formal funeral services planned. Inurnment will be with the family.
