A graduate of Rhema Bible Training College, Gaylord dedicated much of his life to serving others through his spiritual and practical contributions. He served as an assistant pastor at Godley Prairie Community Church in New Boston, Texas, where his faithfulness, generosity, and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Cherished by his family, Gaylord loved and treasured his wife of 60 years, Judith Kay Marshall, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Lawing (Darin), who carries forward his legacy of kindness and strength. His grandchildren Taylor James, Joshua James, Cassandra Crimson, and Kailah Hartis, along with great-grandchildren Bernard Marshall, Mortimer Marshall, Ava Marshall, Isabell Crimson, Myles Hartis, and Graham Hartis, were sources of immense pride and joy in his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald Edward Marshall and Amelia Grace Witt Marshall; his son Scott T. Marshall; grandson Patrick Marshall; sister Gloria Cartee; and three infant siblings.
