Geneva Fisher,

Geneva Irene Fisher, age 89, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, July 9th, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir.  Irene was born in Salisbury to parents Luther Adolphus and Myrtie Elmira Ritchie Fisher on October 12th, 1920.  She attended church at the First United Church of Christ in Salisbury.  In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her brother, Luther A. Fisher Jr. and her 2 sisters: Helen F. Bailey, and Ruth Louise Harrison.  Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Margaret Heilig and husband Brady of Tucker, GA; a host of nieces and nephews; and some very special and dedicated care givers at Ellendale Group Home with COM-SERV Inc, Kristy and Jill.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th at Alexander Funeral Service from 11:00 A.M. - Noon.  The funeral service will follow after the visitation at noon in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel.  Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Salisbury.  There will be a family visitation following the graveside service at First United Church of Christ at 207 W. Horah Street, Salisbury.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements for the Fisher family.
