George Fitzgerald Clark, age 59, was born on July 29, 1966, in Alexander County, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at Wake Baptist Medical Center Winston-Salem. He was a devoted forklift operator at Borealis, where he was respected for his hard work and dedication.
George was a cherished member of his family, who held him in high regard and will deeply miss his presence. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Smith Clark; his sisters, Kathy Clark, Vanessa Clark, and Dora "Twin" Clark (Steven “Amigo”); his children, Isaiah T. Clark and Dorian J. Clark; his special cousin, Jae Jones; and his nephew, Adrian Clark.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Henry Clark; his sister, Yvonne "Evie" Clark; and his paternal grandparents, Fred Clark (Mary Lee) and Lillie Clark, as well as his maternal grandmother, Lucille Smith.
A man of many interests, George was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching cooking shows, grilling, and fishing. His love for motorcycles was well known, and he proudly umpired Little League baseball for Alexander County, contributing positively to the community.
George was of the Baptist faith and lived a life characterized by love for his family and friends.
His memory will be honored during a visitation on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16 in Taylorsville. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Alexander Funeral Service chapel. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sterling Howard will officiate.

George’s legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly for his kindness and passion for life.
