James Glenn Baker

James Glenn Baker, age 68, of Taylorsville, NC, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 26, 2026. He lived a life surrounded by his loved ones, especially “Dixie” his beloved and faithful companion who was always by his side, even in his last moments.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Derwood and Nathalee Baker, and his brother, Gary Baker.

His loved ones left to keep his memory alive are his children, Michael Barr (Cindy Wray), Pamela Smith (Justin); his brothers, Johnny Baker, Kenneth Baker; his aunt, Willie; his grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Austin Baker, Trinity Beam (Joshua), Sandra Smith, Tristin Baker; and many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
