Jeter Edward Greene

Jeter Edward Greene Sr. was born on February 24, 1952, in Watauga County, leaving a legacy characterized by his love for family and a profound dedication to farming. He passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, just a few days short of his birthday, at the age of 73.

Jeter's life was marked by a passion for agriculture, a calling he undertook with great pride. He cultivated a strong connection to the land, nurturing a variety of animals, including cows, chickens, pigs, and horses. His commitment to farming was more than a livelihood; it was an expression of his love for nature and tradition.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Melinda Greene (Kayla), who will carry forward his spirit and values. Jeter also cherished the bond he shared with his step-grandchildren, Jasmine and Kassidy, who brought joy and laughter into his life.

The Greene family is supported by Jeter's siblings: brothers Benny Greene, sister Jay Smith, aunt Linda Icenhour, and cousin Clyde Greene. Their shared memories and experiences will serve as a testament to the love that ties them together.

He was predeceased by his father, Jack Greene, and his grandmother, Mollie Greene, who played a motherly role in his upbringing. His son, Jeter Edward Greene Jr., whose presence is missed dearly.
