Fur mom – Sandi Wike

I was blessed with this beautiful special being for 16 ½ years. We had such a special and amazing bond! She came into my life very unexpectedly. She was headed to the animal shelter at only one pound. I quickly found out that it wasn’t me that rescued her, only that she had rescued me. She quickly became the sunshine of my life, my best friend, my ride or die, traveling partner, my constant companion but most of all the child I never had. She was the best and most beautiful baby. She was animated, independent, strong-willed and loved life with all her being!

She was featured in the Carolina Caring Calendar of 2023 month of June, Pet O’Mine Magazine, and a local flyer as the “Reader of the Week.” She was well known around town.

She loved going to work daily at OS1st. She loved her best friend, RoadKill, her visits with family and all our friends! She loved her trips to Furever Pet to get her hair “did” with Ms. Kelley, the liver mush at Windy City Grill, Pup Cups from Starbucks and the Big Bird Chicken from The Tap Room. She loved treats and loved for visitors to visit as that would mean more treats! If you didn’t know where the treats were located, she would kindly take you to them. She loved her mommy and Jo time, watching TV in general but most important Lucky Dog on Saturday mornings with McDonalds Pancakes. Opening presents, playing with her pink ball, the beach, shopping excursions, walks-strolls and just being one of the girls, were other things she loved!

She was very independent, strong willed, and most of all she loved her mommy with every ounce of her body and I loved her the same! She truly was my soulmate and the love of my life! She made me a better person! She would never leave my side so I know how hard she fought to stay with me. Equally the feeling for me to let her go. I have thanked God daily for the precious gift of Jo. He could not have sent me anything or anybody more precious or like me than my Jo! I loved her all her life and I will miss her the rest of mine. If love could have saved her, she’d be with me now. .#bestfriendsfurever
