Justin Lee Echerd

Justin Lee Echerd, age 21, passed away on September 19, 2026, at Carolina Caring in Catawba County. He was born on March 29, 2005, in Forsyth County. Justin will be remembered with love for the joy he found in being outdoors, for the happiness he shared in being around people, and for the deep love he had for his family.

Justin was a member of Millersville Baptist Church. He was also involved in Special Olympics, an important part of his life that reflected his spirit and his enjoyment of community and connection with others. Those who knew him will remember a young man who brought warmth to the people around him.

Above all, Justin cherished his family. He is survived by his sister, Jenna Specht (Tyler); his niece, Braelynn Specht; his nephew, Jaxston Specht; his uncles, Donnie Helms, Patrick Echerd; and caregivers, Amanda and Dustin Doubrava. He also leaves behind the family and friends who shared in Justin’s life with love and care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Lee Echerd and Tina Helms Echerd; and his grandparents, Brenda Echerd Pierce, Kenneth Pierce, Roger Echerd, and Viola Echerd.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church, 130 Millersville Church Road, Township of Taylorsville, North Carolina 28681. Inurnment will be with the family.

Flowers will be accepted.

Justin’s life, though far too brief, touched those around him with love, presence, and companionship. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
