Leon Charles Hubbard

November 15, 1952 — March 19, 2024

Leon Charles Hubbard (Hub), age 71, passed Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his home in Alexander County. He was born to the late James and Lois Ingram Hubbard on Saturday, November 15, 1952, in Iredell County. During his working career he was chemical plant supervisor for 37 years and delivered parts for Advanced Auto. Mr. Hubbard was of the Christian faith. He loved his son, Brian, and had many cherished memories and stories of him growing up that he loved to share every chance he got. Hub enjoyed spending time with his close friend David and his family, and helping anyway he could at Coonhound Garage. He also enjoyed spending time at Fueled Streetside Coffee Shop with close friends Brandon, Heather, and the boys. He visited all the local shops and restaurants, making a lot of good friends, all who became like family! 

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Hubbard, brother, Eugene Hubbard, son, Eric James Hubbard.

Those left to cherish the memories of Leon (Hub) include his son, Brian Hubbard, niece, Beth Hubbard, and a number of special friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 6:30 pm. Rev. Jamie Steele will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
