Linda Davidson, age 62, of Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 24th, 2010. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:6-7). She was born on July 4th, 1948 in Alexander County to parents David Manuel Buford Presnell and Treva Robinette Presnell, and worked for Broyhill and Lewittes Furniture for a combined 42 years. She recently went back to school and received her GED. She was preceded in death by her father. Those who survive her include her mother; her husband of 43 years, Asa Homer Davidson Jr. of the home; a daughter, Amy Dawn Fox & husband Kevin of Taylorsville; one brother: Billy Presnell & wife Patricia – also of Taylorsville; one sister, Lisa Frye & husband Billy of Conover; 2 maternal nieces: Krystal Bennett of Taylorsville, and Laci Frye of Conover; as well as a number of paternal nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26th from 5 – 6:30 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Service. Graveside Services will be at 7:00 P.M. in the Taylorsville City Cemetery where the Rev. Joel Frye and Rev. Gary Jennings will be officiating. Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
