Lois Inez Sigmon Teague, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Alexander County. She was born on September 7, 1937, in Alexander County to her loving parents Ralph Ferman Sigmon and Ruby Ilena Johnson Sigmon. Lois was a remarkable woman who, alongside her husband, owned Windy City Jewelers for many years. Her dedication and passion for the business were evident to all who knew her. Mrs. Teague attended Bethlehem Church of God and was a very faithful Christian woman. In addition to her successful career, Lois was known for her warm personality and unwavering love for her family. She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and creating lasting memories with them. Throughout her life, Lois found solace in solving crossword puzzles and exploring the world with her husband. Together, they traveled extensively, with Lois even obtaining a pilot's license to enjoy the freedom of flying.
Lois is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 67 years, Billy Jack Teague and her son Ronnie Teague. She also joins her brothers Glen, Fred, and Dennis Sigmon in eternal peace.
She is survived by her son Billy Ray Teague, daughter Kay Teague, grandsons Shannon Matheson (Crystal), Brandon Matheson (Kendre), Anthony Teague, Nathan Teague (Miriah), as well as great-grandchildren Keenan Teague, Ty Matheson, Alisa Teague, Lyla Matheson, Kaydon Matheson, and Lana Matheson. In addition to her immediate family mentioned above, Lois leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory forever.
Her life will be celebrated at the Bethlehem Church of God in Hickory. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Brett Carter will officiate. The church is located at 351 B and S Ln in Hickory.

Lois Inez Sigmon Teague will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and her faith in God that she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
