Lorene Kerley,

Lorene Virda Russell Kerley, age 63, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, July 18th, 2010.  She was born on February 7th, 1947 to parents Horace A. and Artie Lou Russell in Wilkes County.  Lorene was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 infant brother, Roger Charlie Russell; and 2 other brothers: Ronald and Harold Russell.  She is survived by her husband, Leo Kerley of the home; sister, Darlene Davidson of Taylorsville; 1 brother, Gerald Russell of Iredell County; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20th at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21st at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Taylorsville at 4:00 P.M. where the Rev. Eddie Yount will officiate. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.  Burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
