Lori Ann Hollar

Lori Ann Hollar, born on September 11, 1971, in Caldwell County, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on March 29, 2026, at Autumn Care in Burke County. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence touched many lives with warmth and kindness.

For 27 years, Lori dedicated herself to a career in customer service at Walmart, where her commitment and friendly nature were deeply appreciated by colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional life, Lori found joy and fulfillment within her family and community. She was a devoted member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church in Granite Falls, NC, where she played an active role for many years. Most notably, she served as a GA Leader, inspiring and guiding young girls in the church community with patience and care.

Lori’s passions extended into her personal time, where she delighted in doing crafts, coloring, and indulging in word searches. These hobbies reflected her gentle spirit and her love for moments of creativity and reflection. Central to Lori’s happiness was her deep love for her family. She cherished spending time with her nieces and nephews and treasured the relationships she nurtured within her extended family.

She is survived by her father, Dennis Charles Hollar, along with his wife Becky Pope Hollar; her sisters Carla H. Johnson, Kellie H. Williams and her husband John, and Felicia Lynette Hollar; her brother Dennis "Aaron" Hollar; nine nieces and four nephews; as well as two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Ann Hamby Hollar; her maternal grandparents, George Thomas Hamby and Mary Hart Hamby; her paternal grandparents, Wade Alfred Hollar and Rachel Ellen White Hollar; her nephew, Ryder Scott Guy; and her brother-in-law, Kevin Dale Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church, located at 1822 Dudley Shoals Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Kyle Lloyd will officiate.

The family will accept flowers, or memorials can be made to Dudley Shoals Baptist Church, located at 1822 Dudley Shoals Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630.

Lori’s legacy is one of dedication, warmth, and a profound love for those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
