Mikey "Mike" Wayne Foutz

Mikey “Mike” Wayne Foutz, 75, passed away peacefully at Catawba Valley Medical Center, Saturday, March 7, 2026.

He was born October 22, 1950. Mike is proceeded in death by his adoptive parents, the late Claude & Beulah Foutz and stepfather David “Dave” Chapman.

Above all else, Mike loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Sandy Auton, husband Kris, of Taylorsville; Miranda Haynes, husband Ben, of Newton. Grandchildren Sydney Steele, husband Jordan; Andrew Auton, wife Faith; Maddie Whitener, husband Nash; Kahne Haynes; Samuel Haynes & Hannah Tabor. Great-grandchildren, Tatum Christan Steele and Harper Marie Haynes. Mike will be remembered by his best friends Todd and Robert Howell and Galen Gant.

Our daddy, Mike, was the true definition of “Cowboy Up”. From go-cart racing to bass fishing to rodeoing. He loved riding bulls, team roping, judging rodeos. Being a cowboy was who he was. He had a sense of humor that was top notch. Daddy loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Dad also enjoyed raising chickens and selling eggs.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be with the family.
