Patricia Ann Jones Bumgarner

Patricia Ann Jones Bumgarner, born on July 15, 1940, was a beloved daughter, mother, mammaw, and friend. With a heart full of compassion, she dedicated her life to both her family and her community. Patricia went home to be with her heavenly father on July 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.

In her professional life, she began her career in the furniture industry, showcasing her talents as a sewer. Patricia later took a brave step into entrepreneurship by opening her own cleaning business, where her meticulous nature shone through as she served the needs of her clients with care and dedication.

Throughout her life, Patricia made significant contributions to her church as a member of Little River Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher, sang joyfully in the choir, and was an active participant in various church activities, including the food committee and Vacation Bible School. Her passion for cooking was shared generously with others, and she cherished hosting her grandbabies for sleepovers filled with warmth, laughter, fishing trips, and engaging card and board games.

Patricia is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy Austin (Jimmy) and Julie Sipek, and her son, Thomas Bumgarner. She also embraced her role as a devoted mammaw to her grandchildren, including Courtney Bumgarner, Kelsey Sink (Jared Butner), Carey Mitchell, CJ Sipek, Donna Sipek, and nine great grandchildren. Additionally, she held a special place in her heart for her adopted children, Tammy and Michael Rogers and her special niece Jane Langley.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Emery Jones and Lilly Mae Vaughn Jones, her husband, Cainie Alan Bumgarner, three sisters—Dorothy, Nell, and Betty—and her son-in-law, Woody Sipek.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at Little River Baptist Church, located at 2070 Little River Church Rd in Taylorsville, NC. A funeral service honoring her life will follow at Little River Baptist Church at 4:00 PM. Rev. Lathan Peterson, Rev. Jeff Chapman, and Rev. Keith Bowman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cory Winkler, AJ Langley, CJ Sipek, David Shull, Elijah Mitchell and Michael Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Sink, Lucas Brown, and Peyton Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Little River Baptist Church at 2070 Little River Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681.

Patricia's spirit will forever be remembered through the countless lives she touched, reflecting her unwavering faith, loving nature, and boundless generosity.
