Randy Allen Hubbard, passed away at his home in Caldwell County on August 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 23, 1954, in Alexander County, Randy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his faith, and the simple joys of working with his hands and spending time in nature.
Randy is remembered by his sons, Avery Hubbard and Ashley Hubbard, and grandfather to Payton Parsons, Kaylee Redmon, Makilia Redmon, and Marissa Redmon. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Sherry Hubbard, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Brandy Hubbard; his wives, Tammy Hubbard and Iris Killian Hubbard; his father Johnny Hubbard; mother Betty Childers Hubbard; his sisters Sharon Hubbard and Donna Jean Hubbard; and his brother Roger Hubbard.
A man happiest outdoors, Randy found true contentment in the rhythm of gardening, the rewarding labor of cutting wood, and the craftsmanship of carpentry work. Fishing and time spent under the open sky were among his favorite pastimes. He was known for his unwavering love for his family and his loyal dog, Roy, and delighted in every opportunity to spend time with his sons.
Faith was a guiding force in Randy’s life. He began as a member of Little River Baptist Church and later became part of the congregation at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hudson, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment.
The family will receive friends at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, August 14, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Service, at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 3555 Christie Rd, Hudson, NC 28638. Pastor Tommy Jones will officiate.
Randy’s life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and quiet strength. His memory will be treasured always by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
