Timmonsville, SC

Robert Keith Combs, age 66, known by family and friends as Keith, passed away at his home in Timmonsville, South Carolina on April 21, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1959, in Iredell County. Growing up, Keith was raised in Tabernacle Church in Stony Point and later attended Three Forks Baptist Church.

Keith always loved his family and he loved his pets. He enjoyed the outdoors and found the most joy out on the lake in his boat or riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his siblings: Kathey Combs Roosevelt (Gary), Paul Combs, Shannon Combs (Rhonda), and Penny Combs Stevenson (Eric). Along with several nieces and nephews, Matthew Combs (Meredith), Maranda Nelson (Micah), Josh Combs (Emily), and Austin Combs. Keith also leaves behind his special friend, Camilla “Cam,” Mancill.

All will hold dear his memory and the love he shared.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bobby” Combs and Betty Shepard Combs, his sister Robbin Denice Combs, his nephews James Christopher “Chris” Sims, Patrick Shaun Reese as well as his paternal grandparents Peter Curlee Combs and Selma Bare Combs, and maternal grandparents Fred and Dessie Shepard.

Keith had a very special bond with our “Maw” Combs, who he always loved so dearly. It gives us special peace knowing he is reunited with her in Heaven, and all of our other loved ones.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 28 2026, at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle Church Cemetery, located at 190 Mill Hill Court, Stony Point, 28678. Rev. Chuck Hager will officiate with Micah Nelson giving closing remarks. Paul Combs, Shannon Combs, Matthew Combs, Josh Combs, Dale Fox and Gary Roosevelt will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Gordon Hospice House in memory of Betty Combs, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.

Keith’s life held both struggles and meaningful moments. Through it all, he was deeply loved by his family, and the good memories shared with him will never be forgotten. We hold onto the hope and grace that is found in Christ Jesus.
