Susan Darlene Eckard Sigmon

Susan Darlene Eckard Sigmon, age 63, born on July 15, 1962, in Catawba County, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2026, at Carolina Caring in Newton, NC. With a lifetime filled with cherished memories and love, Susan was an individual dedicated to her family, who always found joy in spending time with them.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Doug Sigmon, as well as her beloved fur baby, Dixie Rose. Susan also leaves behind her siblings, Louise Sigmon (Wayne), Dennis Eckard, and Eddie Eckard, who will remember her fondly. In addition, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she adored and formed lasting bonds with throughout her life.

Susan's passions were visible in her interests; she enjoyed going to Pigeon Forge, riding motorcycles, and cooking for those she loved. Her zest for life and the joy she found in her hobbies were testaments to her vibrant spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Eugene Eckard and Lilly Bolick Eckard, and her sister, Sharon Diane Eckard Elder.
