Terry Wayne Williamson

Terry Wayne Williamson, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the Catawba Valley Medical Center in Catawba County. Born on December 30, 1952, in Gaston County, Terry was known for his deep love of family and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of many.

Before retiring, Terry served as a program supervisor at Alexander Correctional Institute, a role that exemplified his commitment to duty and service. His work was a testament to his character, demonstrating both dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Terry had various interests and hobbies that provided him joy. He cherished playing the guitar and often enjoyed the excitement of dirt track races, where he could immerse himself in the thrill and camaraderie of the events.

Terry’s family was at the heart of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Williamson, and grandsons Jacob Williamson (Angel) and Chance Williamson (Alyx), who brought him immense pride and joy. He was also a devoted grandfather to his great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Emelia, Levi, Walker, and Waylon Williamson. His brother, Tim Williamson (Kim), and sisters Mary Minton and Renee Goforth (Ronnie) also survive him, alongside several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Graden and Pearl Franklin Williamson, his late wife Vickie Hoke Williamson, and his son Adrian Ross Williamson, as well as two siblings.

Terry will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and the joyful moments he shared with them throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
