Virginia Lou Bentley, age 76, was born on Thursday, March 11, 1948, peacefully passed away in Caldwell County on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was known for her dedication and hard work during her career, where she served in housekeeping at Valley Nursing Center and as a sewer in the furniture industry. Virginia was a member of Mt. Ridge Baptist Church.
Virginia's proudest accomplishments included her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels and the loving care she provided as a caregiver for her beloved husband, Willie Ray Bentley. She was a cherished mother to Pamela and Peggy Bentley, and Willie "Dean" and Daniel Bentley. Her grandson, Kaleb Bentley (Andrea), held a special place in her heart, as did her great-granddaughter Mya Faith Bentley, Monica Nance (niece) and numerous cousins in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
In her free time, Virginia found joy in traveling to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, creating beautiful memories that she held dear.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Robey C. Green and Dorothy Ritch Green, her husband of 50 years, Willie Ray Bentley, and an infant brother. Despite the sorrow of her loss, the legacy of love and care that Virginia leaves behind will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
