William Greg Daniels

William Greg Daniels, known to many as Greg, passed away on September 29, 2026, at his home in Alexander County. He was born on January 7, 1966, in Alexander County.

Greg built a life centered on hard work, faith, and the people he loved most. He was a supervisor at Century Furniture and owned WG Daniels Pressure Washing and Lawn Care. Through his work, he was known for dedication and steady commitment, and he took pride in providing for his family.

He was a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and the activities that brought people together. Greg enjoyed mowing grass, turkey shoots and Ingles shooting matches, men’s softball, and football growing up. He was also a fan of NASCAR and motorcycles. Above all, he loved and cherished his family. His faith was an important part of his life, and he attended Unity Baptist Church.

Greg is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah Daniels. He also leaves behind his daughters, Doranda Hedrick and her husband, Nolan, and Natasha Ross and her husband, Chase. His grandchildren, Nate Hedrick, Addison Hedrick, Cade Ross, and Remi Ross, were a cherished part of his life. He is also survived by his best bud, Oakley; his father, Blake Daniels; his mother, Brandy Atwood Schmitt; his brother, Jarred Daniels and his wife, Jodi; his nephew, Jordan Daniels; his mother-in-law, Hettie Ensley and her husband, Jimmy; his sister-in-law, Roberta Stevens and her husband, Mitch; his niece, Hayden Hoyle; and a number of aunts, uncles, and special friends. Each of them shared in the bonds of family that meant so much to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Annie Daniels, and by Lilo, the family dog.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Greg will be remembered with love for his strong devotion to his family, his work ethic, his enjoyment of the outdoors and competition, and the many ways he shared life with those around him. His memory will remain close to the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
