William Michael Wyatt

William Michael Wyatt, lovingly known as Mike, passed away peacefully at his home in Alexander County on July 21, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on December 27, 1955, in Wilkes County, Mike brought warmth and steadfastness to all who knew him, embodying the values of dedication and kindness throughout the years of his life.

Throughout his career, Mike demonstrated an unwavering work ethic and reliability while working in the warehouse at Mitchell Gold, where he was entrusted with the important task of pulling frames. His colleagues respected him for his integrity and dedication.

Mike’s passions were rooted in simple joys—he found great pleasure in fishing, a hobby that allowed him to relish peaceful moments in nature. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer for the Carolina Panthers and closely following NASCAR. These interests brought him together with friends and family, forging memories that will be treasured for generations.

Mike was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He is remembered by his son, William “Caleb” Wyatt (Taylor), and his grandchildren: Elixa Wyatt, William Hunter Wyatt, Paisleigh Hill, and Waylon Doster. He will also be missed by his siblings, Dwight F. Wyatt, Timmy Wyatt, Jeff Wyatt, Paula Shelton, Pam Kerley (Donnie), and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Paul” Wyatt and Betty Jo Shepherd Wyatt, his son Kevin Wyatt, and his brothers, Jimmy Lee Wyatt and Terry Wayne Wyatt.

Mike leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and genuine camaraderie. His example and laughter will live on in the hearts of those privileged to have shared in his journey.
