Hailey Marie “Tink” Matney October 11, 2007 – July 17, 2025 Hailey Marie Matney, affectionately known as “Tink,” passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2025, in Claremont, North Carolina, at the young age of 17. Born on October 11, 2007, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Hailey brought a radiant light into the lives of everyone she met.

Hailey was a bright, outgoing young woman whose smile could capture your heart and whose laughter was truly contagious. She embraced life fully, cherishing her family, her friends, and her beloved dog. She was deeply loved for her vibrant personality, her kind heart, and the joy she brought to every room she entered.

A hard worker with a big heart, Hailey found pride and purpose in her job at Hardee’s, where she made a lasting impression on both coworkers and customers alike. She was truly one of a kind—a blessing to many, and a young woman who left a mark on every soul she encountered.

Hailey is survived by her loving parents, Jeremy Lee Matney and Mamie Marie Eller; her sisters, Realynn David and Destiny Baird; her grandmothers, Nyoka Matney and Mae Parsons; her aunts, Trish Parsons, Erica Eller, and Nicole “Nikki” Shore and husband BJ Shore; and her uncles, Bryan Parsons, Jonas Eller and wife Courtney, and Raymond Matney and wife Rebecca. She is also survived by many cousins, friends, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Hailey was preceded in death by her brother, Ethan Matney; her sister, Shenna Eller; her grandfather, Vernon Matney; her great-grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Jones Eller; and uncle Aaron James Parsons.

Hailey’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was a beautiful soul taken far too soon, but the love she shared and the memories she gave will never fade.

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Wednesday July 23, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Alexander Funeral Service chapel at 3:00 pm. Rhett Miller will officiate. Pallbearers will be, Jeremy Matney, Eric Wallace, Justin Matney, Anthony Parsons, Bryan Parsons, Timothy Eller. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
